About De Anza Country Club

The Hidden Gem of the Desert | A Borrego Springs Area Golf Club

Nestled in the Anza Borrego State Park, a challenging golf course is the centerpiece of the member-owned de Anza Country Club. Surrounded by the 600,000-acre Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, de Anza has developed into a place of tranquil beauty.

Designed by famed architect, Lawrence Hughes, our Par 72 6,778-yard championship golf course is always challenging but playable for golfers of all skill levels. The American and English Ryder Cup teams were attracted to the course and played their Pro-Am event here in November 1959.

During the high season, the club’s membership gathers from around the nation and Canada to enjoy the magnificent beauty that Borrego Springs has to offer. And, it is a favorite retreat for Californians year round.

De Anza members are some of the friendliest you will ever find. It is here at de Anza where people form lifetime friendships and our facilities provide the perfect social venue to make that happen. The clubhouse consists of three dining rooms providing spectacular views of the golf course and the mountains. The dining, golf and social events provide a great place to enjoy life with your family and friends.

In addition to the more than 16 golf tournaments that are held annually at the club, there is a wide variety social events such as wine tasting, movie night, gourmet dinners, bridge, mahjongg and much more. And also, there are organized day trips that include hiking and road trips to explore other parts of the desert.

de Anza Country Club Considerations

Pace of Play

De Anza Country Club prides itself on the fact that most rounds are played in less than four hours. Please make sure that you are on pace with the group in front of you at all times as they dictate your current position, not the group behind you.
Borrego Desert Golf Course Etiquette

Please be courteous to your fellow players and respect the golf course: fill divots, repair ball marks on greens, rake the bunkers and use trash receptacles. Sand bottles are located on your golf carts, and are to be used to fill divots in the fairways. There are several sand containers located throughout the golf course to refill your bottle, so be generous while filling them in. Please keep carts 50 feet from greens and be courteous to other golfers while operating carts.
Restrooms

Restrooms are located on hole #4 and #13. The code for access to the bathrooms is available upon check-in at the Pro Shop.
Food and Beverage

Outside food and beverage is prohibited. De Anza Country Club accepts cash and credit card for food and beverage. De Anza Country Club automatically adds a service charge to all food and beverage purchases.
