About Quechee Club

Nestled in the hills of Vermont’s Upper Valley is a place filled with peace and tranquility where one can relax and reconnect with simple pleasures. Quechee Lakes is 5200 acres of picturesque beauty, an assortment of world-class amenities, complete with a homespun village community and storybook charm. Founded in 1970, Quechee Lakes has become one of the most renowned four-season club communities in New England and awaits those in search of a quiet reprieve from the huried pace of everyday life.

Quechee has a pastoral and idyllic feel of 19th century Vermont and its historic mills, covered bridges and rustic undertones are the very essence of traditional Vermont.

The Quechee Club is both home and host to many. A venue for destination weddings, retreats, corporate outings and events of all kind, our members invite you to enjoy the Club’s community year-round by way of amenities, recreation and special events.

The Quechee Lakes Landowners’ Association (QLLA) manages the common land and amenities. Anyone who owns a home site, a home or a townhome is a member of QLLA and that includes a membership to the Quechee Club. The Club’s amenities boast two of Vermont’s top ranked golf courses, 13 meticulously groomed ski slopes, as well as, an abundance of four-season recreational activities.

Quechee Lakes has earned a place in "America's Top 100 Master Planned Communities" by Where to Retire Magazine and we are the only Vermont destination to be so honored.

TWO TOP-NOTCH GOLF COURSES

Our two championship courses, Highland and Lakeland, were designed by New England legend Geoffrey Cornish and were completely renovated by his partner Brian Silva in 2012.

The Highland course is a perennial Top-3 pick in Vermont by Golf Digest. The Club is host to major golf events such as the New England Open and Quechee Collegiate Challenge.
FOUR-SEASONS OF FAMILY FUN

Summertime pursuits at Quechee Lakes include tennis, kayaking and casting a line into the Connecticut River, one of New England’s largest waterways bordering 27 VT towns. Hikers and bikers have access to over 75 miles of wilderness trails that span from Quechee Lakes toward the Rockefeller National Historic Park located in Woodstock, Vermont. Quechee’s Lake Pinneo offers a beach and bathhouse, picnic area, playground, volleyball nets, horseshoe pits, boat rentals, paddleboards and canoes.

As the winter moves in, the golf courses and forested areas are converted into groomed Nordic and wilderness trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. In addition to 13 Alpine trails, a ski school and a rental outlet, the Club offers ice-skating, hockey ponds, horse-drawn sleigh rides and groomed sledding hills to complete the outdoor fun.

Quechee Lakes is recognized for its central location to many popular Vermont attractions. The Club is a short drive to major Ski Mountains like Okemo, Killington, Stratton and Stowe Mountain Resort.

The Upper Valley is well-known for its culture and cuisine. The Club offers easy access to Dartmouth College and the Hopkins Center for the Arts, located in downtown Hanover, NH. Also within close proximity to Quechee village is Woodstock, Vermont, a quaint yet contemporary tourist destination that is noted for its cobblestone sidewalks and boutique shopping district.

DINING

For haute cuisine and a refined dining atmosphere, Davidson's is paragon. The Clubhouse is the perfect place for casual fare at Dewey's Deck, overlooking the Lakeland course. Après-ski with live-music is available at the circa 1800s Murphy's Tavern, a historic farmhouse said to be the second oldest home in the Upper Valley.
