About Lakewood Country Club
Lakewood Country Club - Breaking the Mold of Traditional Country Clubs. We are not ordinary: we are extraordinary!
Founded in 1908, Lakewood Country Club is Colorado's second oldest country club and one of the state's oldest golf courses. In 1908, the Club hired prolific golf course architect, Tom Bendelow, to design the course. In 1916, the Club brought in world-renowned golf course architect, Donald Ross, to remodel the original design.
The Club has thrived, flourished, and evolved to keep up with the changing times. In 2007, a new Clubhouse was built and new irrigation system installed. In 2008, a new 25 meter pool and fitness facility were opened.
Lakewood has a strong tradition of being a very social club and offers activities and programs for the entire family. Elegant yet comfortable, Lakewood Country Club is centrally located, about a ten minute drive from downtown Denver and the Rocky Mountain foothills.
