Quail Run

Rio Verde features 36 holes of walk-able parkland-style golf redesigned by PGA Tour player Tom Lehman: Quail Run and White Wing. Although both are traditional by design especially when compared to desert target-golf, White Wing incorporates links-style elements into its challenges, while Quail Run unfolds more like the venerable courses found in the Midwest and Northeast.

Both courses enjoy the same meticulously groomed conditions with intriguing greens complexes loaded with personality and, of course, outstanding mountain views from just about everywhere on the property. Plus, the newly created par-3 course provides a wonderful place to hone the short game or just have some fun with friends and family.

After Lehman led the $6 million course renovation project, he achieved the vision of creating two uniquely distinct layouts to provide members a measure of variety that now exemplifies the private golf experience at Rio Verde.

"It is very exciting to have 36 holes renovated and in play at Rio Verde,” said Lehman. “It has always been the intent of both Lehman Design Group and the Committee at Rio Verde to have two very distinct golf courses – one traditional and one that is like an open links-style course. And I believe we have achieved that and I am personally very happy with the way both courses look and play.”
