GOLF AT SHUTTLE MEADOW
The centerpiece of Shuttle Meadow’s amenities is the 6,329 yard, par 71 (men), par 74 (women), 18-hole golf course masterfully designed by two-time British Open Champion Willie Park, Jr. Its undulating greens, breathtaking ponds, classic stone walls and scenic bridges have been enjoyed by the likes of Bobby Jones and Gene Sarazen who called it “a sporty, member-friendly course.” The course is bordered by an additional 250 forested acres owned by the club. Evidence of a natural, pristine environment is everywhere, with deer, fox, hawks, blue herons, and other wildlife often spotted on the course and its surroundings.
The club has been selected as the site for the Connecticut State Women’s and Men’s Amateur championships as well as other state and regional competitions.
A wide range of instruction is available from our award-winning PGA Golf Professional and his staff.
