Every golf course has a term that defines its playability. The golf course at Sugar Valley is a placement course that requires a variation of club choices from the tee to best navigate the variety of strategic landing areas. Total length is 6,511 yards from the blue (back) tees and the ladies’ tees measure 5,257 yards. The par is 71/73. Sugar Valley hosted the Senior Series Golf Tour several years ago. Players on that tour were quoted as saying, “Sugar Valley is the longest short course that we play”. Good lag putters will feel at home on Sugar Valley’s massive greens, several of which measure in excess of 10,000 square feet!
