Eight of us got together and drove 45 minutes out to the Urbana CC on Saturday 10/12. There is a tremendous amount of history with the course. This is where the Dye legacy started. Pink Dye built the first 9 in 1922 and the second 9 was finished off by PB Dye in '93. The Dye's still maintain a property on the course. I live to play on Dye courses. If you love Dye courses - this is the one! You have to golf your ball and think on this course or you will have a long day. This is a real gem! The layout and design of the course is beautiful. Plenty of elevation shifts, quasi tight but fair fairways, the greens are excellent and know how to defend themselves! The head pro, members and staff are great people and this is without a doubt one of the finest courses in the US! Put it on your list!
